From the Broten House to the Big Brother House

Well, they've made it :) The parentals are live and in the flesh in Belfast - after 26 hours of travelling (Saskatoon to Ireland via Florida . . . ) they were happy to touch down and didn't even mind the rainy day. They were relieved to get a bit of sleep this afternoon and then we enjoyed a nice dinner together tonight. Both Stu and I are very happy to have them here!

On an unrelated note, if you have a UK address (and maybe even if you don't!) I'd encourage you to go to the Office of Communications (OFCOM) website and complain about Celebrity Big Brother. For those of you who are wondering what I'm talking about, the UK (and elsewhere in the world too) has erupted over a big hoo ha in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Three of the women housemates have been justifiably accused of bullying and racism against
fellow housemate and mega superstar Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Yesterday morning there were about 200 complaints logged and by tonight there's been thousands. Now I haven't watched it at all but Stu and I enthusiastically logged on last night to complain because it's generally an awful show, the clips that I have seen have been pretty bad and I'm tired of hearing people talk about it at work! (I won't confess to being a bit addicted to the show a few seasons ago. Ahem.)

Wow... you have the same smile as your mother, and your brother looks a lot like your dad.
